Travel writer and long distance walker Nick Corble will be passing through Atherstone on his million step diagonal walk through England on 12th/13th June, and is inviting people to walk with him for as much or as little of the walk as they like.
Diagonal walking? Nick’s route follows public footpaths and rights of way along a 45 degree line passing through the centre of England, which according to the Ordnance Survey is in Fenny Drayton just east of Atherstone. The walk is part of a plan to ‘reconnect with England’ on the eve of Brexit, and is a companion to Nick’s earlier book Walking on Water, which chronicled a trip down the English canal system on the eve of the millennium.
There’s more detail on his website www.diagonalwalking.co.uk, but Nick is keen to walk and speak with as many people as possible, and will be easy to spot due to his Diagonal Walking T-shirt. He can also be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org
