Green makes switch from Solihull to Lambs

Tamworth FC have completed the signing of Solihull Moors right back Kristian Green. The former Stourbridge defender has a wealth of non-leagie experience, having also featured for Bilston Town, Gornal Athletic and Halesowen Town. Meanwhile, youngsters Charlie Shaw and Chandler Pegg have been challenged to cement first-team places next season. The teenagers made fleeting appearances last season during what was a torrid time for the first team. They have both committed to next season and head coach Mike Fowler said: “They have a big chance now to prove what they can do. Pre-season is a chance for them to grasp their opportunity and then make sure they keep it. “Charlie put in some really good performances when he came into the team last season. He deserves to be part of the set-up. “He’s an exciting prospect, someone who is neat and tidy with good energy. “He has a good all-round game. His long-range passing is fantastic, he can switch play really well and has a lot of good attributes. “He understands the information you give out and he is not afraid to get on the ball.” Fowler added: “Chan is someone who has done fantastically well for the scholars and under-21s and is someone else I felt we needed to reward. " “He manipulates the ball well, he’s good in the air and he has really good touch and awareness. “He also has a good eye for goal.” Former left-back Steph Morley, meanwhile, has signed for AFC Telford. Telford boss Gavin Cowan told his club's official website: “Steph is someone who has been on the radar for some time and fits the bill for how we want to play next season. "He's another good character for the changing room that can offer a huge amount on the pitch specialising in set pieces." "Myself and Phil (Trainer) have a soft spot for left footers being lefties ourselves and Steph gives us great balance through our back line!”
