Safety ensured at Council properties

Council tenants reassured that homes are safe following Grenfell Tower tragedy
" Following the tragic fire in London, the Council is able to confirm that none of its housing properties are clad in the aluminium composite materials used at Grenfell Tower in London.
Prior to this tragic accident, the Council had recently completed fire risk assessments for all blocks of its low and mid-rise flats and for sheltered scheme communal rooms. These were undertaken by an external company.
The risk assessments provide us with good information about our premises and we have an ongoing programme of management and maintenance to address any relevant issues.
Our priority is to keep our Council tenants safe. Please remember you can also keep yourself and your neighbours safe by ensuring corridors are kept clear and by allowing us access to complete any necessary servicing and safety checks.
If you have any queires, please contact the Housing Team. "
